Tricia Monzón, MA, LMHP, LADC

Master’s Level Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor

Receiving her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Doane College in 1999, Tricia has been a therapist in active practice for almost 20 years.

Tricia believes in addressing her clients’ complete health; physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational. She feels it is important to consider all domains of a person’s life to fully understand what problems a client is facing, where their strengths lie and what is needed to fully regain, or for the first time attain, health and wellness in life.

Clinically, Tricia holds extensive experience working with adolescents and adults with mental health and substance use issues and their families. She is skilled at working within the juvenile and adult justice systems, drug courts, the state health and human services system, and local school systems. Tricia has a particularly broad experience in treating adults with both mental health and substance use issues as well. She enjoys working with couples and families. Tricia’s areas of specialty are trauma treatment, anxiety and depression, wellness coaching, women’s emotional health, couples therapy, mindfulness training, family therapy, parent consultation, adolescent behavior issues, and substance abuse/dependence. Tricia is an EMDR trained clinician (Levels I and II).

Tricia has an active mindfulness meditation practice and leads the Mindfulness Meditation Groups provided here at Origins. She is committed to living congruently; she strives to provide a living example of the health practices she encourages in others.

Tricia became a therapist to help people navigate their complex worlds in order to live a healthier, happier life. She believes in a holistic approach to health; that all components of ones’ life are interrelated. Tricia is the mother of three children, an animal lover and loves to spend time outdoors.

Jennifer M. Brown, MA, LMHP, LADC, LPC

Master’s Level Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor

Receiving her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Doane College in 2012, Jennifer has experience treating adults with both mental health and substance use issues as well. She has worked as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor since 2007. She enjoys working with couples and families. Jennifer’s areas of specialty are anxiety and depression, women’s issues, couples counseling, trauma treatment, cultural identity, and substance abuse/dependence. Jennifer is an EMDR trained clinician (Levels I and II) and a member of the Southeast Nebraska EMDRIA Regional Network.

Jennifer believes in a holistic approach to health and wellness, including; spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health. Jennifer became a therapist to assist others in their personal journey towards health and wellness. She is a mother with two children and is a passionate nature enthusiast.
